When someone comes up to you with an attitude. You're gonna reply in kind. I'm saying you gotta tell your opponent that you're in it for the positive vibe the whole jam brings. What this takes is encouragement and mutual respect on the floor. Too many times i've seen the cock sign thrown in bad taste and i'm not saying its a bad thing... just that if it ain't you, you ain't keeping it real. This coming from personal experience. I've had experience before. But it's a stupid one lol. So we're in my school right. Then we ask the other students(other classmates) to make a cypher. Then. I start battling our powerheader. Cuz the powerheader is in the same class as me. Then after his set is done, we do the crew handshake. Then, after that, for some stupid reason, our class Popper comes into the cypher D: So then, i don't really think he is a popper, cuz all he does is the crap Chris Brown does. Then people were all looking at him, and clapping. So i was like clapping too. Then he comes up to me, pushes me abit and says " You aint got no shit on this" . I mean, he's a singaporean and he says it like that. And he's like shorter than me -.- For my first set, i did basic stuff. Then on my next set, i get all hyped and start to do real stuff. Then after that he said " You got no power. You ain't a bboy." Then i was all , you don't need power to be a bboy. Then he said, "My version of Bboy is power." So, i got angry, and started doing crickets. I was lucky i tyco-ed two jackhammer hops at that time... then i went in to a backspin, a grub. and a sidechair stall. After the cypher ended, he walked away. He was all "I'm better than you." The thing that makes me angry is that, he's a whole year older than me -.- Well, i don't think this WOULD help lar. But yea, i wanted to rant somewhere -.-

Sounds pretty tragic, but i suppose its bits and pieces of growing to be a bboy. My take on this is maturity. Only with maturity comes respect.

respect is earn. for cats who act all "keeping it real" shit, you guys are a joke. there's a fine line between keeping it real and being disrespectful. think.

Respect yourself in order to respect others... Never make a fool of oneself...
